YouTube API & OAuth Disclosure

This page explains how SiteNova ChannelPulse uses Google OAuth and YouTube API permissions.

Purpose of Google Access

SiteNova ChannelPulse requests Google OAuth access only so users can connect their own or managed YouTube channels to a private dashboard. The dashboard helps users monitor channel metadata, subscriber counts, views, watch hours, daily traffic snapshots, upload counts, and monetization readiness indicators.

Requested Scopes

• openid: used to authenticate the user’s Google identity.
• email: used to identify the user’s Google email address for account connection and support.
• profile: used to identify the user profile connected through Google OAuth.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly: used to read authorized YouTube channel metadata and statistics, such as channel title, channel ID, thumbnail, subscriber count, total views, video count, and upload information.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly: used to read authorized YouTube Analytics reports, including views, estimated minutes watched, watch hours, average view duration, subscribers gained, and subscribers lost.

Read-Only Use

SiteNova ChannelPulse uses YouTube access in a read-only manner. The application does not create, edit, delete, upload, publish, or modify YouTube content, playlists, comments, or channel settings.

Where Data Is Shown

Connected YouTube data is shown only inside the authenticated user’s private SiteNova ChannelPulse dashboard. It is not displayed on the public homepage and is not made public by SiteNova ChannelPulse.

Data Storage

The service may store OAuth connection records, connected channel records, analytics summaries, and traffic snapshots in order to provide dashboard reporting. OAuth tokens should be stored securely and encrypted at rest where stored by the application.

No Sale or Advertising Use

Google and YouTube user data is not sold, rented, transferred for advertising, or used to build advertising profiles. The data is used only to provide and improve user-facing dashboard functionality, support, security, and compliance.

Revocation and Deletion

Users can revoke Google OAuth access from their Google Account permissions page. Users may also request deletion of stored SiteNova ChannelPulse account data and connected channel data by contacting privacy@sitenovatech.com or support@sitenovatech.com.
